The rose floats up into the open hand of the woman. She walks back to her chair, tears on her face, and sits down. The ceremony starts, and the woman stares ahead silently, a tear in the corner of her eye. When it is over, she walks back to the car. The car reverses, and heads back to her house. She opens the door, walks into the house and closes the door again. The woman goes up to her room, changes into her nightshirt, and sits on the bed. As she thinks about the upcoming funeral, tears come to her eyes. Why did George have to die?
